Zhang Zhang, (Soprano), she is the singing lecturer of Vocal and Opera department in China’s Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing (CCOM).

She was born in Shenzhen and started to sing with the Shenzhen Lili choir from High school, she performed in Europe, Australia, Canada and Korea as a soloist and lead singer; she graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music with a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree. She was chosen to participate in an international master class held by the Juilliard School in 2007; she got the National scholarship to be studied in Kodaly institute of Liszt Academy.

She awarded first prize in the Folk Song Solo competition and second prize in the Bel Canto competition (Ages 16—19) in the 56th Annual Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in 2002; Winning the second prize of“Internationales Kärntner Sparkasse Musikstipendium” Competition in Austria 2011. As the young artist she was invited to perform the soprano solo part in Faure’s Requiem with world renowned conductor Ozawa Seiji in Hiroshima in October 2005.

She is particularly associated with the works of Bach, Handel, Mozart, Bellini, Schubert and Brahms; she has found particular success in Baroque music and chamber music.

She appeared performances as the soloist with China philharmonic Orchestra, Shanghai philharmonic Orchestra, Macau Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Collegium Musicum Hong Kong. She was invited to performed concerts such as Mendelssohn’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” ;Bach’s Wedding Cantata and Magnificat BWV 243; Handel’s “Messiah”; Mendelssohn’s “No.2 Symphony”; Mozart’s “Missa in c minor”; Beethoven’s “Symphony 9” with EOS Orchestra and Choir of Yale;

She also frequently to give the chamber music recitals such as the concert titled “In Memory of Grieg” performed in Shanghai and Beijing; Toured six cities in China and six cities in France performed as the soloist with French Stradivaria Ensemble in 2012 and 2013 for Baroque concerts.

She also attended operas as the main role in China, she played the roles as “Semele” in opera Semele by Handel in Beijing; Played the roles as “Violetta” in opera „La traviata“ conducted by Muhai Tang in Tianjin Theatre.

She has been invited to perform in Shanghai Expo, Beijing International Music Festival, and Beijing Modern Music Festival.
